June 20 at 9:30pm
Joe’s Pub
425 Lafayette St.
New York, NY 10003

The soulful and inimitable Eleanor Reissa and the “mystical high priest of New Wave Avant-Klez jazz” Frank London have been inspiring each other to great heights for over a decade. Together with the great Klezmer Brass Allstars, whose recording Carnival Conspiracy was in Rolling Stone’s top ten world music recordings of 2006, they explore the world of Yiddish song, from the obscure to the chestnuts.

Their music together combines the blasphemous with the blessed, pulling the past into the future and up to the heavens. Come party with them to celebrate the release of their first CD – A Vilde Mekhaye (Wild Ecstacy).

World-class singer Eleanor Reissa, Tony-award nominated singer/actress/director, the original vilde khaye; and Grammy-award winning trumpeter Frank London, member of the Klezmatics, trumpeter with John Zorn, Karen O., Itzhak Perlman, Pink Floyd, LL Cool J, Mel Tormé, Lester Bowie, LaMonte Young, They Might Be Giants, David Byrne, and Ben Folds 5 are joined by the best of the new generation of klezmer musicians: Michael Winograd, Brian Drye, Ron Caswell, Aaron Alexander, Brandon Seabrook and Patty Farrell in this special event.

Tickets: $20
